Hi,

Is it normal that the keyspace indicated in Hashtopolis does not match the output from Hashcat when using the '--keyspace' arg, nor match the 'real' keyspace?

Hashtopolis(0.10.1):
Code:
-a3 #HL# -1 346789ABCDEFGHJKMNPQRTUVWXY ?1?1?1?1?1?1?1?1

Quote:10,460,353,203

Hashcat(5.1.0):
Code:
hashcat64.exe -a3 -1 346789ABCDEFGHJKMNPQRTUVWXY ?1?1?1?1?1?1?1?1 --keyspace

Quote:14,348,907

Actual Keyspace(Microsoft Calculator 10.1904.31.0):
Code:
27^8

Quote:282,429,536,481
Are you sure that you had the same amount of chars for the keyspace measure in hashtopolis as for the test with hashcat? Because hashtopolis uses hashcat's keyspace output, so these two should match for the same attack commands.

The hashcat keyspace does not necessarily match the number of candidates of the attack, the hashcat keyspace is not the same as the actual keyspace, you can read more here: https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=fre...a_keyspace
My bad, forgot to specify the attack mode in hashcat when calculating the keyspace, so it defaulted to MD5.
