problems with hastopolis working on another computer
Posted by: Alex123 - 08-18-2020, 08:00 PM - Forum: Problems - No Replies

Hello! I have Hastopolis installed on my home computer in a virtual machine. Works great here. I transferred the virtual machine image to my work computer and the problem came up. When I access the hashtopolis server and enter username and password on the login page, nothing happens, not even an error reported. Please help me to solve this problem.

version of the Hashtopolis 0.12.0
version of the host operating system on the home and work computer  Windows 10
version of the guest operating system on the home and work computer Lubuntu 19.10
version of the virtual machine on the home and work computer VirtualBox 6.1.8

Hashtopolis works perfectly with small hashlist but when I used a bigger one (10M), hashtopolis is stuck at task id message btw hashlist has been uploaded correctly I can see the number of hashes left. Any idea ?

I have looked at the old C# and the Python but could not find simple way to get it working?

  Unable to login after reset.php
Posted by: RTO - 07-30-2020, 06:44 PM - Forum: Problems - No Replies

Current Server Version: Hashtopolis: 0.12.0 commit d9f7af5 branch master

I've taken over our Hashtopolis rig since the previous admin has left the company. I have a normal user account for the GUI but do have root access to the CLI on the server. I've tried to use the reset.php script in order to reset the password for the admin user and it says:

User XYZ has a new password now

However, when I attempt to login with that user I'm getting the lovely:

Wrong username/password/OTP!

I've tested it on my own userId and it's successful when I use the password set in reset.php and am not seeing any errors in logs for the admin login attempts (still troubleshooting).

I've ensured that opcache.enable=0 is set in php.ini and have referenced the following git issues that have similar asks, with no luck: Is there anything that I can perform in order to either:
  1. Be able to remediate the Wrong username/password/OTP! with the admin account I'm trying to reset
  2. Assign myself Admin privileges
Thank you in advance for any feedback and help.

Let me know if there are any further details needed.

How I must to use hashtopolis with many agents?
For example I have 3 agents with 10x NVIDIA 2080 RTI and I have 1 (one) supertask with 15 preconfigured tasks, which consist 15 wordlist by 11 GB, and my question is HOW I must use these 3 agent for best speed? All task for all agents or put in preconfigured task "This is small task" and use  one agent by one for every preconfigured task?

  Sorted HUGE Wordlists
Posted by: kivik92 - 07-10-2020, 07:39 AM - Forum: Hashtopolis - Replies (5)

Hi, everyone!
I use hashtopolis to brute-force with huge size of wordlists!
Can anyone help me:
- How I can merge many differents huge wordlists, for example I have used cat *.txt >> merged_wordlist.txt and my merged_wordlist.txt  will be about 1 TB size

Then I used different CLI such as "sort", "gawk" and others, but no one of this tool work properly, I have recived bad wordlists or some errors.

And I have a big problem with it!

Maybe somebody can help me? How I can merged huge wordlists then remove duplicates then spilt it to small chunks for hashtopolis!

And if Ihave new wordlist, how I must to sort and remove duplicates from this new_wordlist.

Maybe I need to use some DB, where will be all of my wordlists, then if I have new wordlist I load it to DB, remove duplicates and then out new_wordlist.

  Download of cracker binary failed
Posted by: trollator - 07-09-2020, 05:51 AM - Forum: Problems - Replies (3)

I dont have any experiences with hashtopolis, but I want to get some. I Installed the server, created a task but if I start the client...I get a problem...

I know someone here can help me for sure...

Everytime when I start a python-client I get the following error

Download error: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='hashcat.net', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /files/hashcat- (Caused by NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.HTTPSConnection object at 0x0000016E2E4C8B50>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 11001] getaddrinfo failed'))

Download of cracker binary failed!

What have I done wrong ???

Best regards to all

Edit: I put the the hashcat- on the local hashtopolis-server and the it can be downloaded, but now the next problem occurs

C:\Windows\system32>python d:\hashtopolis-client\hashtopolis.zip

  mode 12000 not working
Posted by: tummybadger - 07-06-2020, 08:46 PM - Forum: Problems - Replies (2)

Server: 0.12.0
Client: s3-python-
Hashcat: 6.0.0
Task: -a 0 #HL# rockyou.txt

I have tested the client/server/configuration with a set of MD5 hashes, and everything works correctly, so it seems like this issue is related to the hash type being cracked.

Client reports error:

Hashfile '../../hashlists/2' on line 1 (sha1    1...zA1MDQ=:19ofiY+ahBXhvkDsp0j2ww==): Separator unmatched

I looked at the hashfile as downloaded to the client- it is not in the appropriate format for mode 12000 according to https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=exa...hash_types;

the hashfile on the client looks like:

sha1    1000:MzU4NTA4MzIzNzA1MDQ=:19ofiY+ahBXhvkDsp0j2ww==

the hash format from the example list:

If I look at the hashlist as stored on the server via the web interface, it displays correctly (e.g., all colon separators, no tabs)

If I manually edit the hashfile as downloaded to the client and replace the tabs with colons, it seems to work fine, as a short-term fix.
