new versions of hashcat
#1
Hello, I have a hashcat that supports algorithms not yet included in the official hashcat binaries, can I use them with hashtopolis?

For example the 26600 algorithm

Yes you can, but you have to place your self-created 7z archive somewhere (where the agents can download the via an URL). This archive should be similar to the normal release ones (binaries with all the modules and kernels needed).

I see, thank you. Will Hashtopolis get the list of hash types from there?

No, you need to add it via Config -> Hashtypes (if it's a type which is not known to Hashtopolis yet). Normally the newly added types will automatically be added via the updates scripts, but if it's not added in the master yet (which is the case here I think), you have to add it manually (and it will recognize later on the update that it's already present and not add it again).

Thanks a lot!
